Sinus lifting
Sinus lifting is the elevation of a lowered maxillary sinus. This procedure is combined with “bone grafting” to fill the empty space after lifting the sinus. The bone is augmented so that a dental implant can be properly placed.
Sinus-lifting
— a surgical procedure in which the floor of the maxillary sinus is lifted and bone material is added to increase the bone volume in the upper jaw for implant placement.
Performed via a lateral approach, used in cases of severe bone atrophy.
Through the implant site, used when there is a 2–3 mm bone deficiency.
